José Manuel Pumar and Tomás Rivero join the firm as partners in the tax area

Andersen Tax & Legal opens an office in Seville to continue with its territorial expansion plan and incorporates José Manuel Pumar and Tomás Rivero as partners in the tax area to promote this location.

The firm, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, has thus added a new location in Spain, where it is developing a determined growth strategy, in which the Andalusian capital was a priority.

The team from Seville, led by partners José Manuel Pumar and Tomás Rivero and which will also have Carlos Soto as head of the Litigation area, has seven professionals and will provide advice in all areas of law through the firm that operates nationally and internationally.

The new partners have extensive knowledge of the Seville market and a great specialization in tax law. Specifically, José Manuel Pumar, with a Law degree from the University of Seville and a Master's degree in Business Administration from ESADE, has more than 30 years of experience in this area; he has been a partner at Auren and an associate at Arthur Andersen. Tomás Rivero holds a Law and Business Administration and Management degree from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla and a Master's Degree in Business Law from the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, and has extensive experience in restructuring operations, mainly in Sanguino y Asociados Abogados, where he was a partner, and in Garrigues. Carlos Soto also holds a Law Degree from the University of Seville and a Master's degree in Business Legal Consultancy from the Cajasol Institute of Legal and Business Studies. He has a long career in litigation and arbitration, having worked as a principal associate at Garrigues and as director of the legal department of the Restalia Group.

The managing partner of Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain, Jaime Olleros, stressed that the opening of an office in Seville is a key step in the growth plan developed by the firm in Spain, which allows it to expand its territorial coverage and continue to position itself in the domestic market. A growth strategy, he said, which has allowed for the incorporation of four new partners, bringing the total to 37, and more than 240 professionals.

Along these lines, he has maintained that Seville is a strategic location for the firm and has added that the firm plans to strengthen its presence in the city by expanding its capacities in the coming months to respond to the needs of clients with a comprehensive and quality service.

Jaime Olleros stressed that the opening of this new office reflects Andersen Global's clear commitment to Spain, where it already has four Andersen Tax & Legal offices, in Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona and Seville, as well as a fifth office in Bilbao through the collaborating firm Euskaltax. For the managing partner of Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain, "the economic and political situation worldwide puts our country in a position of reference in the international market, both for foreign investments and for companies seeking to strengthen their position abroad, and knowing how to take advantage of this opportunity allows us to grow sustainably and strengthen our position in the market".

Andersen Tax & Legal is the Spanish member firm of Andersen Global, an international association of legally separate, independent member firms comprised of tax and legal professionals around the world. Established in 2013 by U.S. member firm Andersen Tax LLC, Andersen Global now has more than 2,500 professionals worldwide and a presence in over 94 locations through its member firms and collaborating firms.
