Andersen Tax & Legal Spain takes on Guillermo Yuste and Pedro Pablo Rodés

April 2017.- Andersen Tax & Legal has strengthened its capabilities in Banking and Finance Law with the addition of Guillermo Yuste as a partner in the Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts area in the Madrid office, and it has added Pedro Pablo Rodés as Of Counsel in the Barcelona office. 

Guillermo Yuste has a law degree from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and a Master’s Degree in Legal Advice for Businesses from the Instituto de Empresa. He specialises in Banking Law and has extensive experience in cross-border finance operations, commercial financing, syndicated financing, financing for acquisitions, product financing relating to renewable energies, debt restructuring, bankruptcy law, aircraft financing and purchases of loan portfolios.

Yuste, whose career is also recognised by important international directories, such as Chambers & Partners, which highlights the lawyer in the field of Banking and Finance, was the managing partner of the Banking and Finance Law Department at Araoz & Rueda. He previously worked as an associate at Linklaters in the same area.

For his part, Pedro Pablo Rodés, has a career spanning over 35 years in the industry, during which he has been the managing partner of the Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca offices of Arthur Andersen, later Garrigues, and director of KPMG’s Barcelona office.

Rodés is a lawyer and economist and he specialises in Tax Law in the areas of family businesses, reorganisation of business groups and human capital services. At the academic and institutional level, Rodés has been associate professor on the MBA taught by IESE, a member of the professional council of the Faculty of Law of ESADE, a member of the board of the Continuing Education Institute for graduates of the Universidad Pompeu Fabra and member of the Governing Board of the Bar Association of Barcelona.

The managing partner of Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain, Jaime Olleros, stressed that the addition of Guillermo Yuste provides a high level of specialisation to the services that the firm offers to its clients in Banking Law. He also highlighted the career of Pedro Pablo Rodés and stressed that "his proven experience and extensive knowledge of the legal sector and the national and international market will provide a major boost for the firm."
