Chambers Europe 2020 highlights Andersen Tax & Legal in the Dispute Resolution, Corporate, Employment and Tax areas

The editorial includes Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre and Álvaro Martín as outstanding lawyers in Dispute Resolution, Javier Mata in Insolvency, Alfredo Aspra, Sergio Juárez and Pablo Santos in Employment

The Chambers & Partners legal guide has highlighted Andersen Tax & Legal as a recommended firm in the areas of 'Dispute Resolution', 'Corporate/M&A', 'Employment' and 'Tax' in the new edition of the Chambers Europe 2020 ranking. Specifically, for the second year running, the Dispute Resolution area climbs positions to band 3, while the Employment and Corporate/M&A areas are placed in band 5 and Tax area in band 6 of this ranking which analyses the capabilities of firms and lawyers throughout the world.

Specifically, Andersen Tax & Legal’s Dispute Resolution area, climbs for the second year running and is included in band 3, while the head of the firm's international arbitration department in Spain, Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, moves up in band 2. Likewise, for the first time the guide includes Alvaro Martin Talavera as an 'Associate to watch'. The guide distinguishes the department's strength in international affairs and especially the mandates that affect Latin American jurisdictions. It also ranks the high level of involvement of the department's lawyers, who advise on highly complex matters. 

On the other hand, Andersen Tax & Legal has been recognized as one of the best Spanish firms in Corporate/M&A and the guide emphasizes that the professionals of the department are "very proactive on new business opportunities" and “solve issues efficiently, with innovative solutions”.

Chambers & Partners also includes in its ranking the Employment department of Andersen Tax & Legal, of which they emphasize that it "provides answers which tackle the law in depth”. The head of the firm's area in Spain, Alfredo Aspra, is highlighted in band 4, who is joined by the partner of the department Sergio Juarez, in the section Up and coming and the partner Pablo Santos, who stands out in the ranking of Employment in Barcelona. 

Andersen Tax & Legal's Tax department and is placed in band 6 of the Chambers ranking, that points out that the professionals “are accessible and make the effort to understand the way of working and the objectives in order to be able to offer proper advice”.

Chambers & Partners also highlights the head of the Insolvency department, Javier Mata, in band 4 in the Restructuring and Insolvency field and stresses Javier’s "knowledge of the sector, of the practice in Spain and great capacity to analyse problems".

Chambers & Partners, which prepares its annual ranking of firms and lawyers based on the transactions carried out during the previous year and the assessments and analysis of the sector by clients and professionals from different firms, includes in Chambers Europe 2020 the result of the research carried out in 2019.
