Miguel Nieto participates in the 75th Anniversary of the Chicago Convention organized by the Spanish Aeronautical Society

At the end of 1944, when World War II had a clear end in sight, the main countries met in Chicago to establish what commercial aviation would be like from that moment on. At this meeting the so-called Convention on International Civil Aviation was signed, which included 12 annexes that referred to specific issues, giving a series of guidelines for the application of common criteria. These annexes, with the passage of years and new meetings have now become 19.

This was evident during the 75th Anniversary of the Chicago Convention, a day in which Miguel Nieto, Partner in the area of Public and Regulatory Law of Andersen Tax & Legal, participated, and which was organized by the Spanish Aeronautical Society.

During the conference, the evolution of the Spanish airport system, regulation in different countries and worldwide liberalization were discussed. The experts advocated a general commitment to face the challenges of aviation, such as innovation management, cybersecurity or drones.
