June 2017.- Andersen Tax & Legal has reinforced its capability in Real Estate Law with the addition of Maite Hernández Falcó as a partner of this department, strengthening this area in both national and international operations in Spain and working mainly in the Madrid and Barcelona offices.

A law graduate from the University of Barcelona Hernández Falcó has had a wide-ranging career in Real Estate and Construction Law with experience of cases relating to logistics, hotels, trade and commerce, office buildings and residential developments. She also advises international funds on their real estate investments in Spain in terms of both investment and development.       

Maite Hernández Falcó has built up around 30 years professional experience. From 2009 to her joining Andersen she worked at the Madrid office of Herbert Smith Freehills on an of counsel basis in the area of Real Estate Law. Before that she was the partner in charge of the Real Estate Law department of Garrigues in Barcelona for 10 years, until in 2007 she founded and became manager of the boutique firm specialising in Real Estate Law Ancle Real Estate.

Recognised by the international directory Chambers & Partners in the area of Real Estate Law for six years she has been a speaker at various forums in Spain and abroad and is co-author of "Derecho Mercantil Inmobiliario" (2009) published by Editorial Bosch.

Hernández Falcó has said her joining Andersen Tax & Legal represents "a new professional challenge at a firm with a significant national and international presence".
