Vanesa Fernández, Director of Andersen Tax & Legal, participates in the Informed Choices in Cross Border Enforcement (IC2BE) project, organised by the Complutense University of Madrid and funded by the European Commission. The aim of this project is to analyse the use of the different claims regulations used by professionals and their application, as well as to disseminate their existence and improve their visibility among professionals in the Member States.

During the past year, the study focused on the compilation and study of different regulations and sources of information. The aim during 2019 is to transfer the conclusions drawn in research forums and seminars.

In the case of Spain, the seminar took place at the Faculty of Law of the Complutense University of Madrid on 10 October 2019. The main objective was to raise awareness of the advantages of the application of EU regulations regarding the recognition and enforcement of cross-border debts. The conclusions were presented by Professor Carmen Otero, who directs the project in Spain.
